Zhu Wenbo & John Collins McCormick

$10.00

Long Distance, Beijing to Indianapolis, a few clicks on the computer really, 12-hour time difference, translating recordings through different means of amplification, different kinds of mics in different types of vessels. Zhu Wenbo contributed many types of sounds ranging from Clarinet to transducer on toy piano.

On the flip side, no translation was needed because some things are the same all over the world. Zhu Wenbo cooks a meal while John Collins McCormick does the dishes.

There is a long story about how I came to ask for this collaboration and why it took me 100 years to finish it. But you have to ask if you wanna know.

Each tape is slow-cooked in stereo on recycled cassettes. Also, each tape has hand made artwork so they are all different, although similar... colors and shapes will vary.
